A Brief History of Brightfire Pottery

David and his wife Jenny developed the Raku pottery 12 years ago in Exford on Exmoor. They then moved the pottery to ‘The Big Sheep’ a family theme park near Bideford, North Devon. After a successful 8 years they have relocated to Roundash Farmhouse near Chulmleigh where they now run the Raku workshop.

David has 25 years teaching experience and was head of art at a college in Somerset. He is a practicing sculptor and painter exhibiting work in galleries in London. Jenny is a successful artist in her own right, exhibiting and selling work also.

Roundash Farmhouse is a haven for animals. Visitors will find themselves surrounded by beautiful views and friendly pets of all shapes and sizes. We welcome you to bring a picnic and enjoy the garden. Tea, Coffee and soft drinks will be provided for you and your family/group.
